Switzerland will welcome Ukrainian refugees by providing them with private accommodation and other assistance

All refugees from Ukraine are welcome to Switzerland by the Swiss Federal Government and its partner organizations.

According to a March 7 press release, the State Secretariat for Migration of Swiss announced that thousands of federal asylum centers have accommodation facilities for Ukrainian refugees. However, additional capacity is being sought.

Additionally, in collaboration with the cantons, Swiss Refugee Aid will place all Ukrainians arriving with private hosts or structures of the cantons. Visaoperations.com reports.

According to the SEM, a growing number of refugees without contact with Switzerland who needs to be resettled are being registered at federal asylum centers.

They will be admitted in the first phase and receive full care at the federal asylum center. However, SEM has stated that there are many thousand places available for refugees.

SFH also works with hosts to help displaced people from Ukraine get to their desired locations.
