Angelina Jolie outlines abuse allegations against Brad Pitt that involve their children; Latter responds

Angelina Jolie filed court papers against Brad Pitt accusing her of drunkenly attacking her during a 2016 flight. This led to her filing for divorce. Pitt sued Jolie in February over her sale of her stake in their French winery. She claimed that neither Pitt nor she would sell it without the other's permission.

CNN reported that Jolie claimed in her countersuit that there had never been any agreement between them. According to Jolie, she also claimed she sold her share of the winery to get "financial independence from Pitt" and "peace of mind" after what she said was a very painful and traumatic chapter in her life.

CNN obtained court documents that reveal details of Jolie's alleged attack on her and her children on September 14, 2016. This was five days before she filed for divorce. Angelina claims that Pitt got into an argument over one of their six children who were 8-15 years old at the time.

Jolie claimed that the actor verbally attacked her. He also claimed that he grabbed her by her head, shook her, then grabbed her shoulders, pushing her into the private bathroom wall.

A claim further alleges that Pitt "choked one of the children in the face and struck another." According to the document, their children were all scared and many were crying.

Brad Pitt's response on the abuse allegations

A spokesperson for Brad Pitt issued a statement to CNN following Angelina Jolie’s countersuit claims. He called the claims made about the actor's ex wife "completely false." A spokesperson for Brad Pitt stated that Jolie's story is continuing to evolve, with unsubstantiated new claims. Brad accepted responsibility for the actions he took, but will not accept responsibility for those he did not take.

Court documents relating to the 2016 incident involving Angelina & Brad were previously made public in August. They revealed that Pitt was not facing any criminal charges.
